Under My Umbrella

Thank you Rhi Rhi for giving us this spurious track to bump…

Oh, Rhianna you are quite the minx these days.  But then again, we aren’t really well known for being the best behaved. Mischief makers and habitual line steppers in chief, but we love it!

But, we aren’t here to ruminate on the evolution of Madam Fenty, right about here and now we are all about weddings with um-ber-rellas-a-a-a.  We’ve finally accepted it that although we are getting closer to the season where it is jolly, it is rain weather, it is welly weather!

So, lovers – time for you to have a look and see and inspiration that is about being under the weather in the most gorgeous way possible!  Let us begin!

Oh phooey, let’s have some more song shenanigans via Jill Scott – loves her!

About the author

I'm the big kahuna with the whole shebang. Amma = Idiot + Savant. Also known as Ams, Amsy, and less frequently Adjubi . Nice to make your acquaintance. I write in the first, second, third and sometimes disembodied person (Bet it will confuse the life out of you).

  1. This is a reason to love the rain! Oh – You needed the magnificent Caro Hutchings umbrella-fest up here too!

Love them all. Hello kitty kat brolly – might have to put that on my xmas list… x

  2. Oh I hope to have the lovely Caro on this blog one day soon x

  3. I just love umbrellas!! (:
They are a great accessory, they are useful and cute!

  4. When I was 18 a boy made me go outside in the rain before he would kiss me because he had this thing about the romance of rainy kisses. He was so right. Kissing in the rain, with or without a brollie to hide under, is the epitome of romance and rainy wedding photies are therefore right at the top of my LOVE list. This post contains some absolute corking brollie shots. 🙂

  5. I hate rainy days, but if I’m with my love, it the best day for me!

  6. Awww rainy memories me and my childhood besties used to have water fights in the rain! It was mad fun we would be soaked to the bone… but ’twas epic.

Hannah – co-sign, my first teenage boyfriend… well the same we had a rainy first kiss. Rain is a good love accessory 🙂

Monica – I love umbrella because of Gene Kelly, and singing in the rain. Best dance sequence ever, and he was old school dish *sigh*

  7. All of these pictures are lovely!

  8. Great post and love the super pics. I think my favourite is the upturned hanging decoration one. (Although not sure how useful it would be in actual rain)

Anyway, reason for my posting, apart from loving the pics, is that Umbrellas always remind me of my wedding day. In fact, here’s a little umbrella related picture of us.

Amma, please zap the link if you don’t want it. x

  9. Awww that is so sweet Rebecca, I’m not zapping that link… I guess Umbrellas are standard accessories for an English Wedding. The upturned ones do look amaze! Love that picture of you and your husband!!!

  10. Awww thank you very much Amma. That is lovely of you to say. Although I’m not going to tell the husband as he’ll go all Zoolander on me.

I keep thinking of writing a blog post about our wedding as it was probably the one that made me really want to pursue floristry and it was very eventful! Watch this space! x

Great post by the way and you have a great style (which is all of your own!)

  11. Zoolander!!!! I love that film!!! I’d love to read that blog post it is always lovely to find out what inspired someone to do what they do.
    Mwah my lovely x
